November Friendly Visiting Volunteer Training (In-Person)
This training gives you an opportunity to learn more about Heights and Hills as well as prepares you to spend time with older adults in the community safely within our Volunteer Program guidelines. We will review expectations, boundaries, and common concerns surrounding our Friendly Visiting program. You will leave ready to enjoy your volunteer work and know where to turn for support. Important Note: Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Heights and Hills! Currently, we strongly prefer volunteers who live and/or can travel to the following Brooklyn neighborhoods: Flatbush, East Flatbush, East New York, Crown Heights, and Bedford Stuyvesant. Although we encourage all to apply, please be advised there will be a wait if you have other neighborhood preferences.
