Heights and Hills received the first Innovative Cornerstone Not-For-Profit Award in 2017, from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce for our 46-year history of serving Brooklyn’s older adults with innovative programs and services.
The impact of Heights and Hills programs and services also reverberates throughout the Brooklyn communities we serve. One example of our community outreach is the Old Myths: Confronting Aging and Ageism panel discussion we organized at the Brooklyn Historical Society. Another is the Age Friendly Park Slope project we co-sponsored with Council member Brad Lander with assistance from Good Neighbors of Park Slope.
